What we do
We help you become your best
We help individuals, teams and leaders become their very best. We adapt behaviour and increase employee engagement. We encourage new attitudes and transform the way you do business with each other, with customers and with stakeholders. We provide programs and services to help people become more ‘people literate’, adaptable and engaging.
We do this by:
- Increasing self-awarness
- Developing adaptable behaviour
- Growing trust and employee engagement
Increasing self-awareness.
What are your motivators? What are your stressors? What are your strategies for getting your own way? What’s your leadership style? Do you procrastinate? Have you ever asked others about how they see your behaviour in the workplace?
Sometimes we are blind to our own behaviour
Sometimes we are not aware of our own behaviour and how others see it. We don’t quite understand why we’re not able to influence others or get the results we want. Or we may have conflict between others in our team who differ in personality style to us, causing conflict and dysfunctional relationships. At other times we may not have the skills to bring people along with us or be able to lead a team of highly motivated and engaged followers.
We all have blind spots in our own behaviour – things that others may know about us that we don’t really know ourselves. People Development Australia can help to explore blinds spots within individual behaviour, develop new and more productive behaviour and nurture deeper and more authentic interpersonal relationships and interactions with others. We develop, grow and enhance more cohesive teams with engaging and adaptable leaders.
Developing Adaptable behaviour
There will be times when being yourself will work just fine for you, and there will be times when it doesn’t work. At times like this, when being yourself does not produce positive results, you need to be able to adapt your thinking and behaviour to be more effective.
Stretching beyond your primary behaviour dimension
It’s easy to say “I don’t do the inspirational stuff” or “I leave conflict to my HR team”, but the truth is, one dimensional interpersonal behaviour or leadership style can’t provide the kind of engaged employees or leader that works, no matter how good you think that one thing is. The one-dimensional individual or leader sticks to what he or she knows and avoids using those dimensions which feel less comfortable, even if they could also provide positive results.
Our programs help you become more adaptable and we stretch you to utilise other styles of behaviour.
Growing trust and engagement
Who do you trust? A friend? A work colleague? Your boss? Why do you trust this person? What is it that inspires confidence in this particular relationship? Why do you (or don’t you) enjoy working for your organisation?
These are diverse questions with many answers. But one commonality is present when people answer these questions - the issue of trust.
Trust impacts us 24/7, 365 days a year. It undergirds and affects the quality of every relationship, every communication, every work project, every business venture, every effort in which we are engaged. Trust also impacts on our engagement within the workplace – our ability to develop maximum job satisfaction and deliver maximum job contribution.
Our programs explore the elements that develop trust and the behaviours that you need to grow in order to increase employee engagement.
